We Are One: Always Connected”

"We Are One: Always Connected”

I had planned to share a wonderfully done newsletter article but opted to share from the heart. I've been truly blessed and honored to be in the security community for over 20 years and have many colleagues and friends who help secure our physical and virtual world.
While I admit I love the work from home and the ability to order groceries online, I wouldn't say I like watching children bullied, the elderly targeted and pensions stolen, charities losing donations, and companies going out of business due to the insecurity of our global internet village.
It was out of this place that I realized that we needed to reignite a fundamental truth that "We Are One" always connected.   The internet can be a place of great hope and prosperity, but only if we all understand this most basic principle of life. I can't ransomware your machine and then think there is no impact; I can't steal your credit card information or bully your child and not believe this doesn't have long-lasting consequences. Afterall, even the internet is subject to the immutable laws of the universe.
The goal of this campaign is simple:
1.       Educate - Webinars, newsletters, and post to give insight so we all can do our part to understand and protect our shared internet village. 2.       Connect - Connecting people and resources that can help your cyber goals, whether you are a solo entrepreneur or managing a global enterprise, to better protect our shared internet village.
I invite you to stay connected to our newsletter; we will be sharing once a month on topics that are relevant to how to protect our way of life. A sample of the subjects we will discuss are Ransomware, Human Trafficking, Cyber Bullying, Privacy, Artificial Intelligence, Doxxing, and more.
Covenant is committed to doing what we can to bring awareness and tools to help us make our internet village a place for prosperity, peace, and security.

We invite you to check out and share our Cyber Risk Portal at https://risks.covenantsec.io : The portal aims to provide a new method to prioritize cyber security risks relevant to a business, a company's organizational structure, and even a complete vendor supply-or value chain. It is our goal to provide a low-cost but effective way for everyone to learn and manage their cybersecurity risks. Start now for free, $0.

Follow our social media and our specific hashtags: #weareone #covsec to learn more.

Lastly, it is with great gratitude, that I personally thank you for helping us create an intersection between cyber security and the protection of our humanity.  Thank you for joining us on this journey!

Section four of the "Executive Order on Improving the Nation’s Cybersecurity" introduced a lot of people in tech to the concept of a “Software Supply Chain” and securing it. The Insider threat in cybersecurity is a tricky subject. We often don't want to approach it because, as the name says, this is someone we have given our trust to that frankly can't be trusted. However, this week we talk about cybersecurity from this angle. The internet village we all share requires us to share and trust in ways we never expected.
